About this deal

The only other thing I didn’t like about the Karawen weather station was that certain parts of the screen display were flashing all the time and it personally got on my nerves after a while. Don’t know whose decision it was to have it that way but it was a bad one. Gust or Average wind speed (mph, m/s, km/h, knots) , Real time & dominant wind direction in 360° & 16-direction resolution Talking about the console, the console features an intuitive HD TFT LED screen, which is sectioned into a multi-screen display. The screen combines the readings provided by the station to provide other advanced readings such as dew point, ‘feel-like’ temperature, moon phase, and many more. The screen displays a lot more information than what you would normally see on a budget weather station, and at first glance it can seem like there’s a little too much going on, but after spending 5 minutes with it, you come to appreciate the extra readings. I particularly liked the fact that it showed you the wind chill, as I live in a place where that can seriously affect how comfortable or uncomfortable it is to spend time outside.

This is a pro device from AcuRite that costs more than 100 dollars, but it looks and performs just as advertised. There are several add-on options that you can buy for other 20-something dollars: dual displays and internet-connected options. AcuRite positions this device as a high-precision 5-in-1 wireless weather station that accurately measures temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and rain. There are also moon phase readings, indoor comfort levels, “feels like” temperature, barometric pressure, high and low records, among other cool features that would make this device an indispensable home gadget. As with the other AcuRite device we covered above in this article, this pro model guarantees 330 ft of reliable wireless signal transmission. A high-precision anemometer and wind vane will make sure you have the most up-to-date wind speed readings. This device can also serve as an invaluable tool for those concerned with rain precipitation numbers and rainfall history: the gadget measures a rain accumulation for today, over all-time, by year, and by month. Apart from those two faults, this is a great little weather station at a price point where you expect a few niggles. The features of reading the pressure and showing the weather changes are also nice extras. ProsWhether you are living off-grid, or, trying to cut down the cost of utilities; or probably, you are an eco-conscious person; however, if you want to still enjoy the accurate reading provided by a weather station, then getting a solar powered weather station should give you all the accurate weather updates you need without the need of you connecting it to an electrical source. Well, with so many options available, we know how confusing it can be to choose the right one for you, which is why we have written this post. The instructions that came with the model are far from great, but thankfully, setting up was not too difficult and there are tutorials available online, though you shouldn’t really need them anyway. It is even more essential to pay attention to the distance at which the base station receives analyzer signals. The standard signal radius is 30-70 meters. Everything is pretty obvious when it comes to the water and heat resistance: sensors used outdoors must be water and sun-proof.

A home weather station is a fascinating bit of technology to own; they allow you to collect environmental data as well as forecast the weather conditions in your area.Weather talk. The weather is the most frequently discussed topic with friends and relatives, as well as an excellent conversation starter.
