And for about 3 and a half weeks ( I kept the shirt hanging just to see how much it would take till the scent dies down) I was clearly able to smell the sweet gourmand smell from it, i am not kidding! Over the next hours, Kalemat Black transitions into a wonderful vanilla-amber-oud scent on my skin, which is slightly creamy and not too sweet. while standing at the bar waiting for my gal to use the ladies room, a woman sitting at the bar tells me how great I smell. Guys now that I have wore it for some time, let me tell u this is strong, distinctive and totally versatile frag. It’s a tad medicinal (oud, saffron) and there are some dormant florals (a damascone rose, for sure) as well as subtle fruit notes (no idea). IMHO, much better and more balanced than the original Kalemat, which is nice but more leathery, animalic and for me more difficult to wear. All names and copyrights, used or unused, are properties of their respective manufacturers and/or designers. however, unlike the original Kalemat, projection is more difficult to judge with this Black flanker.

I prefer to smell this on a man (or scent my home with it) than to wear it myself, the smell of burning woods is abit much for me, eventhough I find the ambery-vanilla aspect of it absolutely, deliciously gorgeous, I just love sweet ambery scents. What is the luxury version of this, there must be something that smells like this but 10x more luxurious, and more expensive, and does anybody know if there is something that smells like this with a tiny bit of smokiness, (not tobacco or cigarettes, but like you go out and there is the snell of burnt wood/paper in the atmosphere or a distant BBQ sought of smoke), this one of my favourites. Longevity is best in class (24+ hrs) as expected from Arabian Oud house and projection/sillage are outstanding. For example, some top note citrus scents smell stronger immediately upon application, while a lavender middle note may be sensed after some time from application as the top note evaporates. after that it lasted 5 to 6 hours strong and i could feel it around me but never porjecting like crazy as iy should at that amount of sprays considering that is EDP and oil based perfume coming from this legendary house ! As a matter of fact, I am leaving a second review here, because I'm back to move this from heavy to enormous.

Moreover, while I receive plenty of compliments while wearing Kalemat, the compliments are off-the-chain when wearing Kalemat Black.
