About this deal

Sure enough small amounts of grain can be seen in certain scenes; but this is unavoidable due to the age of the series and, in some aspects at least, can add to the overall experience – as Death Note was a relatively grainy show at times. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered. Also catch three hours of bonus content, including interviews with the Japanese creators, behind-the-scenes footage with the English and Japanese voice casts, production art, audio commentary and much more!

Overall the difference may be hard to see; however upon closer inspection you’ll notice that image of the Blu-rays are much sharper and clearer than that of the DVD’s (which is one of the main benefits of High Definition). When so many criminals start dying all other the world, Interpol gets into contact with the world’s greatest detective, a man simply known as “L”. For instance just as things begin to settle between Light and L – with both parties investigations coming to a stalemate – another Death Note wielder appears on scene and begins to stir things up. For the anime industry, that means anime made up to the late nineties, when it was traditionally created using cel and paint, photographed on 16 or 35mm film, or anime made after 2006 and 2007, when animators started to digitally create anime in high definition. But if you’re a fan of anime, and you have never seen Death Note before, you must watch this series.Well Death Note follows the events of Light Yagmi, a highly respected high-school student, who after discovering a mysterious notebook known as the Death Note, begins to deliver his own sense of twisted justice. The character and world designs are excellent, and the level of detail and fluidity of motion speaks to a high investment in the animation. The minute you do that, you’ll start noticing plot holes, loose threads, and should you tug on one, the whole tapestry of the story will just fall apart. Determined to use this dark gift for the best, Light sets out to rid the world of evil – namely the people he believes to be evil. This Company does not however exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.

It’s bizarre how a series that is only thirty-seven episodes long manages to contain an extensive amount of story as well as continusiouly change its character; and while at times elements of the series may seem slow paced they do nothing but build-up to the events of another death, or trick, being played out by the key characters. Of course the ever popular (and approachable) Dragon Ball Z was one of these franchises but Death Note was also another series that gained popularity; and for an entirely different reason. Well it means we lose out on all of the extra features that were previously included with the DVD release. The DVD featured an extensive amount of bonus material, such as Cast Interviews, Production Sketches, Trailers, Recording Sessions, Character Design Interviews, Audio Commentaries and Trailers; all of which is non existed on this Blu-ray release. In a surprising turn of events Manga Entertainment have opted to author their own Blu-ray Discs as opposed to using the masters created by VIZ Media in America; a fact which also explains the relatively lengthy delay this title received. It’s not just the TV series which have undergone the HD remaster process either; as both the movies – of which retell events of the series with slightly adjusted animation – have also received the HD treatment.

People threw their coats at him in appreciation – which actually was a mistake because so many people threw their coats that according to legend he suffocated under a massive pile of them. Death Note offers a great concept, and it delivers it in a character driven, psychological drama that is a far sight different from the usual shonen action tropes. No waiver of any of the provisions of this or any Agreement shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be such and signed by both Parties. If I ever do watch it again, I’ll make sure to stick to the first two-thirds where Light faces off against L, and then skip to the final two episodes for the conclusion. If you were to ask me which character in western fiction Light is most similar too, oddly I would go for a sitcom character: Rik Mayall’s right-wing MP Alan B’Stard in the satirical sitcom The New Statesmen from the late 1980s and early 1990s. widescreen 1080p format, and given the vividness, the rich and lush life to the colour palette, they must have gone back to the source material rather than the DVD masters. But after L comes Near and Mello, and as foes for Light Yagami, they are a pale, repetitive shadow of L.
